See.Africa is an independent travel website built to make exploring Africa easier — bringing destinations, national parks, beaches, hotels and travel ideas together in one Africa-first resource.
Why See.Africa exists
The See.Africa editorial team is based in Africa and has been living on the continent for the past five years, travelling across multiple African countries along the way. That perspective helps shape the questions we focus on, the destinations we cover and the way we structure our travel research.
The idea behind the site is simple: Africa deserves a travel resource built around the continent itself rather than treating it as one destination among many.
Some places receive global attention — the Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Cape Town and Zanzibar, for example. But there are also hundreds of parks, beaches, islands, cities and regions that are much harder to research online. See.Africa aims to cover both: making the famous places easier to understand while helping travellers discover destinations they may never otherwise have considered.

Beaches & islands
Guides and comparisons covering Africa’s Indian Ocean, Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines — from famous beach destinations to smaller islands and less obvious alternatives.

How we build our guides
See.Africa is primarily a research-driven travel resource.
For our guides we use a range of available information, including official tourism organisations, national park and conservation authorities, accommodation providers, tour operators, mapping data, booking platforms and other relevant travel sources.
Where information can change — such as prices, park fees, opening conditions or travel requirements — we aim to keep our guides updated as new information becomes available.
Africa is a large and constantly changing continent. Our aim is to make each guide as useful, structured and transparent as possible.
An Africa-first travel resource
See.Africa is not built around one country. Our long-term goal is to create a genuinely continent-wide travel resource covering destinations across North, West, Central, East and Southern Africa.
That includes the famous places. But it also includes the small national park that receives little international coverage, the island most travellers have never heard of, the beach outside the traditional tourism centres and the safari region overshadowed by its better-known neighbour.
The more useful information about these places exists online, the easier it becomes for travellers to explore more of Africa.

You pay exactly the same price either way: the commission comes out of the provider’s margin, not your booking.
We are not paid to include a property in a guide, and no hotel, lodge or tour operator can buy a placement or a ranking. Properties are chosen on what we think is genuinely useful for the trip being described, and a guide is written the same way whether or not a booking link exists for the places in it. Where we couldn’t find a booking partner for somewhere worth including, we include it anyway, without a link.
Affiliate income pays for running the site and for the research behind new destination guides.
